In the unprecedented times it’s essential that we put forth the best version of ourselves to spread hope and love through the darkness. Too often we focus on our rights, but not on our responsibilities to one another, to other species we share this planet with, and to Mother Earth. So for my birthday, I ask that you take a moment for a selfless act, one that is not incentivized by monetary gain or social clout, but just one simple act. Giving blood is one of many possible acts. May this inspire others to perform simple acts of love in the current climate of 2020.
