I started giving blood routinely during the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic, in an attempt to make a difference in some small way. Now, more than 10 donations later, giving blood has become routine and an easy way for me to help others. I
am hoping to recruit 12 donors this year — one for each month — which will impact 36 lives (my age plus one to grow on). If you’re new to donating blood, let me know if you have any questions I can answer or if you have any hesitations. In my experience, the actual donation takes less than 10 minutes, and the whole experience from intake to walking out the door is less than an hour. And you get free cookies!
Thanks for considering becoming a donor!
