WMDD sponsors several annual blood drives. However, due to COVID, our support will look different this year. We are helping our community by hosting an American Red Cross, “SleevesUp” campaign. We are asking YOU to pledge to give blood at any local American Red Cross blood drive or donation center, as part of this campaign.
#dyk: Every two seconds, someone in the United States requires a blood donation. Thousands of Red Cross blood drives have been canceled across the country, due to the pandemic, resulting in some 86,000 fewer blood donations. The American Red Cross is in need of all blood types.
How do I participate? Click on http://sleevesup.redcrossblood.org/campaign/fbi-wmdd-2/ and hit the “pledge now button” on the top right. Fill out the short form including your zip code. You will then be directed to the Red Cross website where you can view a list of upcoming blood drives in your area. You can make an appointment to attend any of these drives.
