Ech0 needs your blood! A single apheresis treatment, which removes sickle cell blood and replaces it with healthy blood cells, can use up to 6 pints of blood. I’m calling for 6 people to meet a goal of providing enough blood to perform apheresis for one sickle cell patient.
Although all blood goes to the general supply and there’s no way to specify who the blood goes to, know that your donation IS wanted and will help someone in dire need.
