Eastern Minority Supplier Development Council 50 years of Impact Sleeves Up

EMSDC 50 Years of Impact

In celebration of our 50th Anniversary and the work we do across the region in
support of diverse entrepreneurs, the Eastern Minority Supplier Development Council
will host a series of service projects throughout 2022.

“While our work centers around developing and connecting minority business owners
in our footprint, it is important that we also give back to the communities in the regions
that we serve,” said Valarie Cofield, President and CEO of EMSDC. “With these
upcoming projects initiatives, we hope to expand our impact beyond the boardroom
and Main Street.”

Join us in giving back by making a life-saving blood donation between April 1 – June
30 and help us reach our goal of 50 donations per month. Every day, blood donors
help patients of all ages: accident and burn victims, heart surgery and organ transplant
patients, and those battling cancer. In fact, every two seconds, someone in the U.S.
needs blood.

Did you Know: “When you donate, blood is tested for specific antigens that are needed to treat sickle cell disease. If your blood contains those characteristics, you can help sickle cell patients by donating whole blood, plasma, or platelets.”

Sickle Cell Anemia, disproportionately impacts people of color, particularly Blacks and Latinos.

As an extra thank you, at the end of each month anyone that donated and shared on social media
with #SleevesUpEMSDC will be entered in a drawing for a $50 Dick’s Sporting Goods
gift card. Donate early for more chances to win!
