The American Red Cross faces severe blood shortages due to the pandemic. Healthy individuals are needed to donate to help patients counting on lifesaving blood, such as trauma and cancer patients who regularly need infusions. The Red Cross is taking extra precautions to keep people safe when they donate blood and ensure sick people are not donating.
