We all come together daily to do important work within our communities. But today, we need to accomplish something even more meaningful and I am asking for your help. Nationally, including your own local blood banks, we must collect 15,000 blood donations every day to have enough blood to help patients in 2,700 hospitals and transfusion centers across the country. That’s a lot of patients in need and unfortunately our blood supplies are currently at a dangerously low level. However all of us coming together, can help ensure patients receive life saving blood.

You can help by making and keeping an appointment to give blood to the American Red Cross or any other local hospital or blood collection organization in your community. You can help also by spreading the word about what we are doing. Please contact your local blood donation site today, it’s easy to do and remember how important your one donation is. You can save up to 3 lives in your neighborhood with just this one act of kindness.
