Diesels Heart

Diesel's Open Heart Surgery for Multiple Congenital Heart Defects
1 /100

One blood donation can help save up to three lives. That means a lot to patients in need, but it took on a new meaning recently.

Our son, Diesel, was just diagnosed with 4 congenital heart defects. Coarctation of the aorta, patent ductus arteriosus, aortic insufficiency, and a subaortic ridge in his left ventricle. He will need open heart surgery. He’s only five years old and there’s no know cure for congenital heart defects. He will need cardiac care the rest of his life. Diesel is O- blood type which happens to be the rarest. We’re asking all to donate blood in his name. It may be your blood he gets during surgery. Thank you!

Without volunteer blood donors, our story may have a different ending. Help me reach my goal and ensure that patients receive the life saving blood they need. Make and keep an appointment to give blood to the American Red Cross.
