Tomorrow is never promised! Today is my 54th birthday, and I am so thankful to be here. I am deciding to save 3 people by donating blood on my birthday. I think of it as I am here, I am alive, and if I am able to save 3 people by donating just 1 pint of my blood, then I am DOING IT! After all, my blood gets replenished naturally in a short period of time. There are so many people in need of our blood to actually survive. I am so glad that I have the ability to help others, especially on my birthday. I choose to give the gift of life. Please join me.
In lieu of gifts this year, I’m hosting a SleevesUp virtual blood drive and asking friends and family to pledge to give blood in the next 4 weeks. Together, we’ll track our pledges, cheer each other on, and, most importantly, provide a lifesaving gift for patients in need.
