In response to the devastating impacts of Hurricanes Milton and Helene, we are proud to partner with the American Red Cross to host a blood drive.

Why This Blood Drive Matters
The American Red Cross declared an emergency blood shortage in 2024 due to several factors, including record-breaking heat, seasonal activities, and travel:
Extreme heat: In July 2024, record-breaking heat affected over 100 blood drives across the country, forcing cancellations or reducing turnout.
Seasonal activities: Summer activities and travel are typical obstacles to blood donation.
Climate crisis: The ongoing climate crisis continues to threaten the blood supply. This includes events like Hurricanes which cause devastation to those areas and forces cancellation of necessary blood drives during this time of need.
