One blood donation can help save up to three lives. That means a lot to patients in need, but it took on a new meaning recently.
After I delivered Georgia I began to hemorrhage pretty severely. I came close to surgery but they were able to control the bleeding with a combination of about 4 different medications. I lost about half of my blood volume and as a result was given two units of blood. Without that donated blood I would have had a much more difficult recovery.
Without volunteer blood donors, our story might have had a different ending. Help me reach my goal and ensure that patients receive the life saving blood they need. Make and keep an appointment to give blood to the American Red Cross.
