As I set up this campaign, my incredible mother, Joy, is receiving an amazing gift: a blood transfusion via an intravenous line (IV).

Every time she is a recipient, we are deeply touched by someone’s selfless generosity to make such life-sustaining treatment possible. She, along with other cancer fighters, need these transfusions regularly, which can only be given from volunteer donors with matching blood types.

Such generosity has inspired my big birthday wish. Since I am ineligible to donate blood, will you consider being a lifesaver and pledge to make a donation on my behalf? In other words, would you put the IV in MMXXIV (2024)?!

Having friends and family become helpers in paying forward this gift of time is the best present I can possibly imagine. Without my mom, I would not be here, let alone be the person I am today. She is the reason I embrace joyful gratitude and adventure, as she continually demonstrates the power of unconditional love.
