Our beautiful Bella is once again in the fight for her life against leukemia. In her 20’s, this should not be her life. We are working hard to get her in remission so she can start thriving instead of just surviving. Blood is a vital part of this cancer journey so we ask that you please donate blood every 8 weeks, donate platelets, and share our blood drive.
One blood donation can help save up to three lives. That means a lot to patients in need, but it took on a new meaning recently.
Without volunteer blood donors, our story might have had a different ending. Help me reach my goal and ensure that patients receive the life saving blood they need. Make and keep an appointment to give blood to the American Red Cross.
Bella has received platelets multiple times now this month. We are so grateful for everyone donating blood and platelets! Bella is doing well right now, she has her bone marrow biopsy tomorrow with lumbar puncture and spinal chemo. If her platelets are still low then she’ll get another transfusion. We are getting ready for the crazy busy week next week with all of the transplant prep. The big scary is right around the corner. Thank you all again!
Bella’s platelets dropped to 3 today. She woke up with a bloody mouth and essentially a massive blood clot on the inner cheek. We went to the hospital and she received a platelet transfusion. One bag. There’s a massive shortage. Thank you everyone who has donated blood, if you’re able to donate platelets please do. We appreciate all y’all so very much!!! Thank you!!!
Bella’s platelets were super low on Tuesday and she was symptomatic so she got the platelets that she needed. Today I received a phone call from a rep with the American Red Cross asking for platelet donations as there’s an emergency shortage. Please consider donating platelets y’all. You’re saving lives of people like my precious daughter Bella. Thank you! ❤️
Thank you all for donating blood! Bella’s leukemia is down to .2% from 65%! Her treatment plan is changing for the next month so hopefully they can get the leukemia down to zero.

Bella ended up spending 8 days in the hospital and getting two of her chemo treatments while inpatient. Today was the first outpatient chemo infusion. Her platelets are at 40 which is not great but still ok. Thank you all so much for your kind pledges to donate blood and sharing our blood drive with the people in your lives. Without other people’s help my daughter would not survive.
We have 10 pledges so far! Thank you so much everyone!! Bella is going into the hospital on Wednesday morning and will be there for a few days as she has a port placed, gets her first Inotruzumab treatment, and sees a bunch of doctors in a variety of specialties. Thank you for your blood/platelet donations and all the thoughts and prayers as my daughter goes through this difficult time.
