I always have a hard time asking people to give there hard earned money for causes but I saw this and thought it was a great opportunity to get this out there to everyone and see how many people I can get to get out and give. As a regular double red blood donor (3 gallons given to date) I can tell you giving is such a fulfilling experience knowing you may have helped save a life by just giving an hour of your life a few times a year.
They say it’s better to give than receive, and I couldn’t agree more. Which is why I’m donating my birthday to the American Red Cross!
In lieu of gifts this year, I’m hosting a SleevesUp virtual blood drive and asking friends and family to pledge to give blood in the next 30 days. Together, we’ll track our pledges, cheer each other on, and, most importantly, provide a lifesaving gift for patients in need.
