It’s my birthday! I’m 39. It’s great!
My birthdays are usually Not A Big Deal, but I figured I’d leverage this one to encourage all of you to donate some blood – especially if you’re a type O of some variety. There’s a serious shortage right now.
It also totally makes you feel like a superhero, because you’re literally saving lives. You get to do it while chillin’ in a comfy chair reading a book. Then someone gives you a cookie!
I’m a blood donation uber-nerd – I do it every 2-3 months. But I bet many of you fall into the camp of thinking, “Blood donation, sure. Great idea! I’ll totally do that.” Then you space out about it and never book an appointment.
Well – here’s your excuse to actually book that appointment. So wish me a happy birthday by pledging a pint!
