I am temporarily deferred and can not give blood for a year. While the average whole blood donor gives less than 2 times a year, one could donate every 56 days.
I’m asking for my friends to make an appointment and give blood to the American Red Cross through a Virtual Blood Drive to replace the donation I can not make this year. For many this is just one more time this year. It’s easy to find an appointment that’s near to you and every donation can help save up to three lives. The impact we can make together is the best gift I can imagine.
