The Avalon community is a special one. I know, because I live here. Today, I am inviting you to do something special to save a life. Right now, the Red Cross is on an emergency appeal status. The blood supply is frighteningly low. The Red Cross has to collect 15,000 blood donations every single day to have enough blood to help patients in 2,700 hospitals and transfusion centers across the country. Victims of trauma. Cancer and transplant patients. Any one of us or our loved ones could find ourselves in need of blood, and I want to ensure that it is available to everyone who needs it.
All of us, coming together, can help ensure there is enough life saving blood available. Please make an appointment to give blood to the Red Cross. You can make a difference! Diane
