For my birthday this year, instead of gifts or raising money, let’s save lives!
Every summer, there’s a blood shortage as people travel & miss appointments but there is still a need. Let’s make sure every family member going in for surgery or kid fighting cancer can carry on with their scheduled appointments & blood remains on hospital shelves. Let’s help solve this problem by becoming the #MissingType of A, B or O.
I’m hoping that 41 people will pledge to donate blood or blood products (such as platelets – the cancer kicker!) in your area. Each pint of blood can save up to 3 lives! Red Cross is the largest supplier of blood & blood products but isn’t in every location – so go where you can. I also understand, not everyone can donate (actually only 38% of the population can) but I’m hoping to those who can will and everyone will recruit others so I can reach my birthday wish.
