In the wake of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, just like many other sectors of the health care system, Blood Transfusion Services and blood banks are struggling to cope up with the unforeseen challenges. An estimated 37 percent of Americans are eligible to give blood or platelets, but of those, less than 10
percent actually donate each year. If you are healthy and eligible, please come out to donate. Most donations take about an hour so book your appointment, roll-up your sleeve and become a part of the life-saving mission of Alpha Phi and the American Red Cross. The Red Cross follows the highest standards of safety and infection control. In accordance with CDC guidelines, all donors are required to wear a face mask.
