Who doesn’t want to be a hero and save lives? Ever since I first figured out how to turn a pillowcase into a cape and whoosh around my folks’ house, my whole vision of being a superhero was about saving lives. Even if the superhero gig didn’t quite work out, I can still help to save lives. So can you. The nation’s blood supply remains critically low (especially for rare blood types), and we need volunteers to help ensure patients can get the treatment they need. It’s a small ask, and a small act. But the impact of giving can be huge. Each donation can save up to three lives. If you’re participating in 4,000 Acts of Kindness, consider taking the time to donate to the American Red Cross.
