Declaring a National Blood Crisis, The Red Cross is experiencing the worst blood and blood platelet shortage in over a decade. The dangerously low blood and platelet supply levels have forced some hospitals to defer patients from major surgery, including organ transplants. Your donation is desperately needed.
The Guidehouse Defense Segment and Veterans Affinity Network is sponsoring the 3rd Annual Virtual Blood and Platelet Drive to support the American Red Cross and local blood banks throughout the United States in this moment of crisis.
Our goal: to get at least 100 Guidehouse (staff, family, and friends) to donate blood or platelets anytime between March 14 through December 31, 2022.
Colleagues from other countries are encouraged to join in the effort by donating blood at your respective locations (contact your local Red Cross or blood banks).
