Each year, an estimated 6.8 million people in the US donate blood. However, when the COVID-19 pandemic hit, blood donations fell significantly. By July 2020, over 40,000 blood drives were cancelled, and over a million fewer blood donations were given.
Blood drive centers are still open and patients need blood now more than ever. We challenge the Columbia University community to give back, donate blood and save a life!
Will you roll your SleevesUp and pledge to donate blood with Columbia Red Cross?
