UVM Doctor of Physical Therapy Club Blood Drive Campaign

35 /100

Hi Friends and Community!
It has been a challenging year for us first and second year students having to transition to remote learning and safely social distancing from our classmates. But UVM DPT Club still wants to show that we are committed to helping others in meaningful ways during this pandemic. Did you know that one blood donation can help save up to three lives?! The need for blood is constant and for thousands of patients across the country, these volunteer blood donations can make a lifesaving difference.

We are grateful for everyone’s support to roll up a sleeve and share the love. Help us reach our goal and ensure that patients receive the life saving blood they need. Make and keep an appointment in your local area to give blood to the American Red Cross. Remember to wear your mask and keep safe and healthy!

Here are some other things you can do to stay safe while donating blood:
– Keep 6 feet between you and all other persons in waiting and donor areas

– Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, especially after going to the bathroom and after blowing your nose,
coughing or sneezing

– If soap and water are not readily available, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol

– Avoid touching your eyes, nose or mouth

– Stay safe!
