Eastern Technical’s Virtual Blood Drive

Eastern Tech's biomedical committee explains the importance of our blood drive campaign

Why do we give blood here at eastern tech?

Because we believe that we have the power to help our community and beyond. We work together every day to do important work with our school’s club. But today, we want to accomplish something even more meaningful.

The Red Cross has to collect 15,000 blood donations every day to have enough blood to help patients in 2,700 hospitals and transfusion centers across the country.  That’s a lot of patients in need and all of us, coming together, can help ensure patients receive life-saving blood. If you happen to be available, you can donate blood on February 16th at our local chapter of the American Legions near Eastern Tech. It runs from 1 to 6:30 PM. Use our sponsor code americanlegionrosedale to donate at this specific location if it works best for you. Here’s the link to sign up for a donation time at the American legions in Rosedale: https://www.redcrossblood.org/give.html/drive-results?dt=WB:PL:DR:PM&ed=02%2F24%2F2021&order=DATE&range=10&sd=02%2F11%2F2021&zipSponsor=americanlegionrosedale

Of course, if you can’t, don’t worry! You can still pledge to donate blood on our behalf anywhere in the world. Just make sure you follow this link to pledge your donation and give blood at any location on the 16th.

If you would like to share your donation story or pictures from the day, we would love to see them as well! Tag your post on Instagram @easterntechrcs and use the hashtag #etdrip for us to see and share! Make an appointment to give blood to the American Red Cross at redcrossblood.org. And don’t forget to eat iron-rich foods to power up before and after your donation! So SleevesUp and help us reach our goal.

Save a life one drip at a time!
