A year ago, Eileen “Lena” was born by way of a pretty textbook c-section. Unfortunately, after the surgery, I started to hemorrhage. Thanks to the doctors and nurses acting fast, and 2 donated units of blood, we had a very happy ending to a scary situation.
On January 30th our wonderful little lady will be turning one. Since we will not be having a big party, I’d like to have a Red Cross blood drive in honor of her birthday. Eileen means “Light”, and during one of the darkest years of our life, she was our light through and through. Please consider donating blood so that others may receive the same life-saving gift I was given. – Becky
