“You can still go out and give blood,” says the U.S. Surgeon General Jerome Adams. “We’re worried about potential blood shortages in the future. Social distancing does not have to mean social disengagement.”
As a service to donors, the Red Cross is also testing all blood, platelet and plasma donations for COVID-19 antibodies. You will be notified if your donation tests positive for the antibodies.
