Hey Everyone!
PT Day of Service (10/10) falls during PT Awareness Month and acts as an annual day to get together (this year virtually) give back, and raise awareness! This year we’ve put together a few options for distanced activities to make a difference. This option is a virtual blood drive that will run from 10/03-10/31 with the intention of centering around 10/10 if possible. This date range will hopefully give everyone a chance to pledge to donate and donate!
Blood donation is so important during this pandemic due to reduced donation opportunities and ongoing need. Many blood drives have been cancelled as a result of university, workplace, and other locations closing to socially distance. Need never stops as trauma patients, oncology patients, surgical patients, and many other people continue to require life saving blood transfusions!
Our campaign has created the hashtag #SimmonsPTDOS. We’d love if you could share pictures of anything that you participate in for PTDOS so we can feel more connected and continue to raise awareness!
