We work together every day to do important work. But today, we want to accomplish something even more meaningful. The Red Cross has to collect 15,000 blood donations every day to have enough blood to help patients in 2,700 hospitals and transfusion centers across the country. That’s a lot of patients in need and all of us, coming together, can help ensure patients receive life saving blood.
We may have cancelled our 2020 drives, but the need for blood remains urgent. We hope our loyal and valued donors will continue to give the gift of life and commit to making an appointment or two at their local donor center. The donation process remains safe and the Red Cross is doing Covid-19 antibody testing. This is a great opportunity for our donors to try out platelet or plasma donation!
