As students, staff, and faculty members of the University of St. Thomas community, we are defined by this statement. Focusing on the common good motivates us to think critically, act wisely, and work skillfully to better society. Right now, there is an unprecedented challenge facing humanity, and we have the power to make an impact in our communities. The American Red Cross is in urgent need of blood. In the words of US Surgeon General Jerome Adam, “We’re worried about potential blood shortages in the future. Social distancing does not have to mean social disengagement.”
With precautions, giving blood can be safe. A donation of one pint of blood can save three lives. On behalf of the University of St. Thomas, Opus College of Business, and full-time MBA program, we invite you to pledge your support for our virtual blood drive, All For The Common Good. There is no one donation site for this drive, as a virtual blood drive you can choose when and where you donate your blood. All donations take place at an official American Red Cross donation center, and staff are taking all precautionary measures to ensure your safety.
