One blood donation can help save up to three lives. That means a lot to patients in need, but it took on a new meaning recently.
Without volunteer blood donors, our story might have had a different ending. Help me reach my goal and ensure that patients receive the life saving blood they need. Make and keep an appointment to give blood to the American Red Cross.
Chris, his wife Liesa, and their children, Kelsey, Matty and Joey have been members of the North Andover community for over 20 years; and a visible member of everyone of his communities: SMC, BC High, his Soccer teams, and so many more! . Chris has been an avid supporter of the soccer program and never tires of coaching the sport he loves. Chris was hospitalized on December 22nd and on Christmas Eve, the Waterman family received devastating news. Chris was diagnosed with an aggressive form of APL leukemia.
With Liesa by his side, they have lived at MGH battling this insidious disease. Chris has needed daily blood and platelet transfusions. It was shocking for the family to learn there is a nationwide shortage of blood and blood products. These transfusions have been lifesaving for Chris, and many other critically ill patients. The Waterman family would like to raise awareness of the need for blood and blood products. Please consider a lifesaving donation in Chris’ honor! #WatermanWarriors
