Raise a Pint for Jake

25-year old Jake has recently been diagnosed with a brain tumor. That’s the bad news. The good news is that it is small, operable, slow-growing, non-metastasizing, non-recurring, and likely benign. The better news is that he has one of the best neurosurgeons in the world to operate on him, and that he has great insurance covering nearly the full cost of his treatment and hospitalization.

Lots of folks have asked what they can do to help. Thoughts and prayers are a great start and are very much appreciated. But one tangible thing that you can do is Raise a Pint for Jake. Give a pint of blood yourself, or (if you’re unable to donate) get a friend to donate. Jake’s likely to need some blood during his surgery, and while the pint you raise may not go directly to Jake, it will save or sustain the life of a surgery patient somewhere nearby in the months ahead, in Jake’s honor.

When you Raise a Pint for Jake through the American Red Cross’ SleevesUp program, you are joining in a great community of friends, family, co-workers, classmates, and neighbors who care for Jake and wish him a full and speedy recovery.

Thank you!
