The Satanic Temple is launching its annual Day of Action Blood Drive on May 1, 2026, coinciding with the National Day of Prayer. We encourage everyone to move beyond just “thoughts and prayers” and instead take meaningful action by donating blood in their communities throughout May.

Every two seconds, someone in the United States needs blood. Blood is crucial for helping patients survive surgeries, cancer treatments, chronic illnesses, and traumatic injuries. This lifesaving care begins with a single person taking action, yet only 3% of those eligible to donate blood do so each year. The Satanic Temple’s first tenet is “To act with compassion and empathy toward all creatures according to reason.” By living our values, we strive to enhance the lives of others through international and local Good Works Campaigns.

Last year, TST’s American Red Cross donor team was ranked 80th out of over 70,000 teams and had impacted 20,000 lives. As of March 2026, we are ranked 46th and have impacted over 40,000 lives – most of that increase due to last year’s blood drive.
