Annie Konrad is a 30-year-old internal medicine resident at OhioHealth Riverside Methodist Hospital, known for her compassion, kindness, and joy as a physician, friend, and family member. She is a cornerstone of every community she’s involved in, touching countless lives with her selflessness and care.
Since December 7th, Annie has been fighting for her life in critical condition at OhioHealth Riverside Methodist Hospital. She was diagnosed with an aortoesophageal fistula, which caused significant bleeding before the source was identified. Over the course of 24 hours, Annie received multiple rounds of blood products and endured multiple major procedures: her strength and will to live has been nothing short of miraculous. It is an understatement to say that Annie’s journey is far from over.
The American Red Cross is partnering with Annie’s family to host blood drives in her honor. Please help Annie’s family give the lifesaving gift of blood to all those in need.
