You have something people really need, and in this case it’s not even money!
Having worked in the hospital, it recently dawned on me while holding a bag of blood in my hands that every unit we give to a patient once came from an hour out of someone’s day to donate. I made it my New Year’s resolution to donate whenever I am due, and now want to invite my friends and family to join!
I will be turning 30 this October, and have an ambitious goal of reaching 30 donations with your help! This drive is “virtual” meaning you can donate where you live between 9/20 and 11/20 (unless you want to swing a trip to Milwaukee, we’d love that too!)
There is plenty of information on the Red Cross website regarding donor eligibility, reasons people receive blood etc., but feel free to reach out with any questions. We have been given a lot, so that we can give back to others! And as they say, there is no better replacement for blood, than blood. ?
Challenge your friends (or anyone for that matter) to a friendly competition! Who will win the battle to do the most social good for your community?
Put your virtual blood drive campaign against one or even multiple other campaigns to see who can recruit more blood donors for the American Red Cross.
