In honor of our daughter Ellie, who was tragically stillborn due to a rare and life-threatening condition called placenta percreta, we are launching a virtual blood drive to help save mothers in similar crises. I almost lost my life after Ellie’s passing, and it was 11 units of blood that saved me. This blood drive’s goal is 109 units—symbolic of the number of units needed to save a group of 9 moms I’ve met who, like me, endured placenta percreta and faced devastating loss.
