I have always feared needles and blood. I tried my best to avoid it as much as possible. When I became a mom, I put those fears aside. Jaxon was born very healthy and was always healthy (for the most part) up until June 2024. Somehow, someway, my very healthy son became very sick very quickly. Our world got turned upside within seven hours. In seven hours, I was told that my school loving, baseball player, extroverted child had a rare stage four kidney cancer. How in the world does a parent, or anyone for that matter process that? Two months later I am still processing it. With stage four cancer came chemotherapy- with chemotherapy came blood and platelets transfusions. Blood and platelet transfusions are crucial for survival. This is where I am asking for your help! You have all asked HOW you can help, well here it is. Red cross is experiencing another blood shortage. There are thousands of people out there, like our friend Jaxon, who need transfusions to survive. I would love your help in making a difference for someone’s life, either in blood or in platelets donations. (and yes, I will donate too!)
So SleevesUp and help us reach our goal. Make and keep an appointment to give blood to the American Red Cross.
Much love,
Brianna
