This is a video of a Sickle Cell patient with a similar story to mines. As a Sickle Cell patient, I receive monthly treatments called “Apheresis” or “Exchange transfusion”. This is a process of replacing my defective blood by removing it while simultaneously giving my new blood from a matched donor.
