On April 22, 2023 we welcomed our daughter Charlotte, “Lettie,” into this world. Subsequently, moments afterward I suffered a severe postpartum hemorrhage, losing my entire circulatory blood supply. Blood donors, in addition to the many skilled medical professionals and angels in the room that day, saved my life. On April 22, 2024 we not only celebrate our daughter’s first birthday but also the day I lived. My hope is to pay it forward for anyone who may need it so that they too can live to spend another day with their loved ones. The blood drive will begin on Lettie’s birthday and end on mine, June 28th. If you are in a place where you are physically able to donate blood, it would mean the world to us.
