Most of us have heard of donating blood, but how many people really understand the importance? Oftentimes it’s not until a family member or someone close to us is in need of life-saving blood that we understand how critical blood donations are. Having a family member diagnosed with blood cancer, I learned first-hand how important blood donations are for saving lives. I have donated blood ever since I was first eligible and continue to do it regularly. I encourage you to do the same, and help save lives. Every 2 seconds, in the US, there is a need for blood, and it could be someone you know. It’s something to think about. Let’s roll our sleeves up, and save some lives! Join me in donating blood this summer. #SUBBLOOD
