This year, I’m asking all my friends and family to save a life for my birthday. Donating is simple, and it’s FUN! Every time I donate, I love getting the updates about my blood’s journey. I get such a great feeling when I get the notification that my blood has made it to a patient, and it saved a life (usually it says it saved more than one life!!). Working in the ED gives me the opportunity to witness just how important blood donation is. The need is real, and it is constant!
