On Saturday, November 19, 2022, Evan Silberglied will celebrate his Bar Mitzvah at Bnai Israel Congregation. For his mitzvah project, Evan is encouraging people to donate blood because there is a critical blood shortage, which has only worsened during the pandemic.
Scripture tells us, “Whoever saves a single life is considered to have saved the whole world.” The American Red Cross notes that a single blood donation can save up to three lives.
This issue is personal for Evan: he has several close family members who have gotten blood transfusions. You can help Evan reach his goal of recruiting at least 36 blood donors to give between now and November 19.
