I used to be terrified at the thought of giving blood. I just *knew* it was something I could never do. But since I have started working in critical care, I have seen the reality of how much blood is needed. Blood is life-saving for hundreds of people everyday. The thought that a second of pain and less than an hour of my time could make such a huge difference for someone has pushed me to overcome my fear. I challenge everyone to give it a try and see the difference you can make!
