Here is why Bryna, Ceridian employee in Atlanta, donates:
When my brother was born, the umbilical cord was wrapped around his neck and due to his size (too large), they were having issue trying to get him out to save him. He lost the blood flow and oxygen he needed for several minutes and had to have an immediate blood transfusion. The blood was from donor’s and I wouldn’t have the most amazing brother if it weren’t for donors. He has always had physical issues due to the lack of oxygen to his brain, it caused the right side of his body to not function as it should. And its never held him back and he has always had the most amazing outlook on life. I’ve been an avid donor since I was 18 and do a combination of whole blood, platelets and double reds. I’ve always felt like it was the least I could do to give back and pay it forward. I have donated for different places but recently hit the 5 gallon mark with the Red Cross.
