When Regan was first diagnosed with leukemia, his blood levels were so low that he needed 4 blood and 2 platelet transfusions within the first 2 days. Since then, he has needed 2 more bloods, and 2 IVIGs, which is another blood product made from donations. His IGG level is currently dropping again and he will need another transfusion soon.
We plan to host a blood drive here in Mountain Top this summer, but the need for blood right now is dire. If he needed blood right now, he might not be able to get it right away.
Our goal is to have 100 blood donations from his friends and family, by his 9th birthday, to make sure that kids like him can get blood when they need it.
