Most people associate Giving Tuesday with monetary donations to charities, but did you know there are other ways to help? This Giving Tuesday, Repair Authority is starting a Virtual Blood Drive through the American Red Cross.
Did You Know?
– One donation of blood can potentially save up to three lives.
– A single car accident victim can require as many as 100 units of blood.
– Every 2 seconds someone in the U.S. needs blood and/or platelets.
– Approximately 36,000 units of red blood cells are needed every day in the U. S.
– The average red blood cell transfusion is approximately 3 units.
