My Story
A year and a half ago, I saw a Sleeves Up campaign for a young relative of mine. Before this, I had donated one time (1 unit) and quickly decided it was not for me! Once I read the whole story about this little 4-year old girl, I had a change of heart. It was that moment that I decided I needed to suck it up a bit and start donating. I made a pledge to donate, and after that I realized that the hour I spent donating, was nothing compared to the time this little girl spent getting better. Less than two years later, I have now donated 10 units of blood, that is over a gallon!
Now it is Lance’s turn!
Lance has been depending on numerous blood transfusions, and I want to be sure that Lance and others needing blood always have it available! I have decided to start a Sleeves Up campaign in honor of Lance. My hope is that you see my story and are encouraged to donate in Lance’s honor. Those of you that are like I was, and just feel blood donation is not for you, I hope you will give it a try! Whether you live near Lance, or across the country, this is a great way to help support him. It is as simple as making a pledge and finding a local donation site. Lance is one of the strongest kids out there, how strong are you?
I hope we can all BE LANCE STRONG!
