Blood emergency! As a result of low blood donor turnout in recent months, the Red Cross is heading into the holidays with its lowest blood supply in more than a decade at this time of year. This means a patient in need of blood may have a delay in getting the life-saving blood they need. Be a hero to a patient and give the gift of life!
Donating blood is one of the simplest things a person can do to help save a patient’s life. For the hour it takes to give blood, there could be a whole community of people thankful for another birthday given to their loved one.
