Agios is a biopharmaceutical company that is fueled by connections. Our current focus is on hemolytic anemias: pyruvate kinase (PK) deficiency, alpha- and beta-thalassemia and sickle cell disease. Many patients with these diseases need regular blood transfusions throughout their lives, and blood shortages brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic have created additional challenges for these communities. That’s why we want to show our support by donating blood through the American Red Cross.
