I turn 19 on March 29th, and for my birthday I am asking her friends and peers to donate blood to the Red Cross on Saturday, March 31st or Sunday, April 1st. As a "Sick Chick" birthdays bring a lot of mixed feelings, while it is exciting that I made it another year, it is hard to process the survivor’s guilt that comes along with it. So instead of typical celebrations, I’m asking that you donate to a great cause! I’m reliant on transfusions and by extent donors, this is the best possible gift you can give!
