Uncle Nate Sickle Cell Warrior

3 /100

The pain felt during a sickle cell crisis is hard to put into words. I’ve endured a crisis two times in my life. The scariest instance was at the end of my pregnancy. However my Uncle Nate spent 47 years of his life being a sickle cell warrior and advocate. In the early 2000 he was one of the oldest sickle cell warriors. Since his passing research and resources around sickle cell have increased but still are in great need. My Uncle’s battle and my own has put my desire to make a change at an all time high. So in honor of Sickle Cell Awareness Month (September), I am hoping to have 100 people donate blood in honor of my Uncle Nate and my family. Your blood donation can help me to achieve this vision and help make a change in this often overlooked community. I pray you find it in your hearts to donate and to share this with your friends and family. Thank you so much, from the bottom of my heart, for taking the time to read this. I appreciate all of your help and support.
